Following a recommendation at ELT we have been directed to create a Corporate Definitions document to provide consistency in policy writing. All new and reviewed policies would include, within the definitions section, a link to this document. The document would contain regularly used wording (MRC, Council, Councillors, Employees, etc). The policy definitions section would then include the link and any nonstandard definitions. I hope this makes sense. I hate this idea, but its a direction given that i need to undertake. The question - does any other member have a Police Definitions Document which is linked to all policies? Or as per usual, the definitions are all included within a policy. Also happy to hear the pros and cons for this activity.
