COUNCIL SUBSCRIPTIONS

LGMA is a professional association of individuals working in Queensland local government.  As such, organisations, including Councils, cannot hold membership.  However, Councils do have the opportunity to become involved with, contribute to, and be supported by LGMA in order to shape the sector and contribute to LGMA's goal of ever-increasing professionalism.

Councils are encouraged to actively contribute to these goals by taking up a Council Subscription which provides a range of benefits including:

Programs and events: Eligibility to nominate for the annual Awards for Excellence; complimentary access to online Village Exchanges across 22 industry groups; and opportunities to host activities such as the Rural Management Challenge and Propeller Program workshops.

Discounts and registrations: A 20% discount on In-Council Training, up to $25,000; one complimentary Annual Conference registration when an early-bird registration is purchased; discounts for more than four registrations at the Local Government Conference, Inspire Conference and Women in Local Government Conference (fifth delegate free); and a fifth delegate free when registering five or more attendees for face-to-face Village Forums and Village Webinars.

Sector support: Advocacy with state and federal government, access to the AI Community of Practice, and news and updates on current issues.

Recruitment: Promotion of senior vacancies on the LGMA Job Board .
