What is the Australasian Management Challenge?The Australasian Management Challenge (AMC) is an innovative development opportunity that is a convergence of ideas, energy, academic rigour and practical application – the elements which develop great leadership. This programme is the premier forum for current and emerging local government leaders. It is a sophisticated development programme designed to deliver personal, team and organisational professional development. The challenge has been running across Australia and New Zealand for more than 30 years. It is good fun, great value and a hands-on approach to leadership development that translates into relevant, tangible and enduring benefits for people, teams and organisations. Everyone who participates in the Challenge – from experienced managers to emerging leaders, comes away with new and practical insights into excellence in leadership and management. |

The 2025 Queensland Challenge date is set! View the 2025 brochure. Date: Wednesday 2 April 2025 Venue: Royal International Convention Centre (RICC), Brisbane Showgrounds, Gregory Terrace Times: 07.45am - 5.00pm Teams: Teams of six and a Mentor Registration: Pre-Challenge Task: The Pre-Challenge Task will be distributed on 24 February 2025. Accommodation: Rydges Hotel is conveniently located directly across the road from the RICC. Details here. King Street: One of Brisbane's most popular dining and retail precincts. Awards for Excellence Gala: The winners and runners up of the Queensland Australasian Management Challenge are announced at the LGMA Awards for Excellence Gala on Thursday 22 May at the State Library of Queensland from 15.30-19.00 (includes drinks, canapes and finger food).

Australasian Management Challenge National Finals 2024
On Monday the 5th of August the state winners of the Australasian Management Challenge gathered in Brisbane for the national finals!
City of Moreton YAY!, representing City of Moreton Bay as the Queensland winner, faced off against the top teams in a series of tasks. The home ground advantage added pressure, but our team rose to the challenge!
We’re thrilled to announce that City of Moreton YAY! secured joint first place with the City of Tea Tree Gully!
