    Hi All,

I am seeking some guidance on where fraud and corruption prevention responsibility sits at other councils.   At MRC the Corporate Governance team is responsible for overseeing of this responsibility.  Does this function sit with other governance teams at other Councils?

    Thanks

    Hi Kerri

I have mostly seen this role sit in the Governance area.  I have seen it in the in the Finance area and in the IA role when one exists (mostly reporting to the CEO).

However, the Governance area is usually where it resides in what I have seen.

    regards

    Liza

Hi Kerri, at Gladstone, the management of Fraud and Corruption is split between Governance & Risk Team and our Ethics, Integrity and Audit Team. It is a bit of an akward split. The Ethics Integrity and Audit team monitor Fraud and Corruption risks. Governance manages complaints and reporting to CCC as required.
