Implementing Paper Notice Fee

Council is looking to implement a paper notice fee for all notices issued. From my area we currently issue Rates, Reminder, Water, Animals, Trade Waste, Backflow and are transitioning Health Licences and Supplementary levies.

Are there any members whose council has already implemented this fee, if so, how is this charge applied and maintained?

Mareeba may be looking at doing this for 2024/2025.  From my research (google), I know Noosa and Lockyer Valley have already implemented a fee.  Not sure how it is applied though.

MRC is implementing this from May 2024. Happy to discuss the journey at Rates Village on 7 March

    Hi Tracey,

Douglas do not issue a paper notice fee.  The only fee we have is for the supply of a copy of previous rate or water notice other than the current notice, which is $27.50 per notice.  We also offer a Transaction Balance Summary history report for a fee of $27.50 per property.
