Hi Everyone,
As discussed, I have attached the subsidisation rates/discount definitions for your reference.
I have attached our subsidisation rates presented to Council for adoption 24/25:
To streamline our subsidisation rates across the venues, halls and community spaces, the new rates for “Subsidised Commercial” and “Community” are as follows:
- Commercial – 100%
- Subsidised Commercial – 80%, (previously 75%)
- Community/Non-Commercial – 40%, (previously 35%).
Please Note:
- Subsidies only apply to room hire charges.
Commercial
- A user whose primary function is to generate a commercial profit or who operates as a business.
Subsidised Commercial
- A user whose primary function is to generate a commercial profit by fundraising for a community benefit.
Community/Non-Commercial
- Incorporated or Unincorporated Associations and Interest groups - Community organisations that are incorporated or unincorporated do not operate for profit.
- Charitable Organisations / Not for Profit Organisations
- Charities registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
Note: A business, government or other entity that is providing a community benefit or not generating a profit from the hire of the venue is not considered a not-for-profit organisation.
User type verification/documentation may be required upon booking.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any questions - renee.blackburn@tr.qld.gov.au
