Updates to Legislation Commentary - Local Government Act and Regulation

Updates have now been made to the Local Government Act 2009 and Local Government Regulation 2012 available on the LGAQ'S Legislation Commentary site.

The commentary service to the Local Government Act (LGA), Planning Act (including the repealed Sustainable Planning Act), and Environmental Protection Act (EPA) is designed to help Councils better understand these pieces of legislation and their intent. The service provides a resource and guide for interpretation to legislation provisions. This is a free resource for all Queensland Councils.

Recent updates to the Local Government Act 2009 include minor amendments to sections (28, 150F, 150W, and 201F) to include additional commentary and updates to penalty unit values.

Recent updates to the Local Government Regulation 2012 include minor amendments to sections (142, 189A, 253, 253A) to include new and additional commentary and repealing section 253A.
