Good morning all from Gympie Regional Council! 

We would like to know if any other Councils provide a Nature Refuge Rebate on General Rates? If yes, do you have a separate policy for this or is it within your Revenue Statement/Budget? 

Our policy for reference: Nature Refuges Rates assessments which contain parcels that are declared nature refuge parcels under the Nature Conservation Act 1992. These parcels of land are not required to be owned by not-for-profit organisations; however, the land parcels cannot be used for any other purpose and must not be commercially leased to any other entity. Land that is used for the above purposes will be eligible for the concessions as per the attached table in section 4.30 of this policy.
