The Australasian Management Challenge is an innovative development opportunity that is a convergence of ideas, energy, academic rigour and practical application – the elements which develop great leadership.
This programme is the premier forum for current and emerging local government leaders. It is a sophisticated development programme designed to deliver personal, team and organisational professional development.
The challenge has been running across Australia and New Zealand for more than 20 years. It is good fun, great value and a hands-on approach to leadership development that translates into relevant, tangible and enduring benefits for people, teams and organisations.
Everyone who participates in the Challenge – from experienced managers to emerging leaders, comes away with new and practical insights into excellence in leadership and management.
The programme assists councils to:

Teams from across Australia and New Zealand compete during a week in March each year. In Queensland, teams from across the state come together in Brisbane for a day of laughs, challenges and learnings.
